What Made Your Life Easier?

by

Some of my favorite things to talk about is shopping and children.
Surprise!
I love all the tiny, cuddly things you can buy for newborns, but some of my favorite things made my life easier as a mother.
Here are some of my favorite things for babies and toddlers.

The Boppy is great for feeding, sleeping, and holding. For a baby not me, although if they made one for adults I would buy it.

I couldn’t live without my swing for the first year of my children’s life. I fed them in it, brought it everywhere and they even watched some teletubbies and baby einstein in it. It also always soothed my son to sleep those nights when he refused to slumber peacefully and of his own will.

These extender straps save us lots of money when one of the babies had a growth spurt. When the onesie still fits but they have just grown too long for it, these come in very handy!

My kids still play with stacking blocks. they also have some stacking cups that they use in the bathtub. This toy, like blocks, last for years.

Lastly, since I am a germ phobic I dreaded taking my kids out in public when they were finally potty trained.
Not anymore. I buy these potty covers in bulk and carry one in my purse and leave some in the car for emergencies. These are for the true germ phobic, like me and this portable potty is great because we are in the car for long trips very often.

Other Moms have told me they loved the swaddler blanket, nipple shields saved them and the jolly jumper made their kids the happiest.

So tell me, what is your favorite baby/child item?

[...] Before I had kids I thought I would never let them watch TV and I would certainly not let them watch TV when they were babies! Why would I do that? Then I had twins. I stayed home with them all day long while my husband worked long hours and I needed to do things for myself like shower and brush my teeth. I purchased a few Baby Einstein videos and put my babies in front of the TV. Where before they could care less about the screen, now they were mesmerized. They loved it and I could finally clean my body. [...]
