Vitamin D
Breastfed babies maybe at much higher risk of vitamin D deficiency in the winter.
Vitamin D is manufactured by the Mom in their skin in response to sunlight, and pass it to their babies in breast milk. In many part of the country Moms produce little if any in the winter. Dark skinned mothers also have a harder time making the vitmain because of the amount of melanin in their skin.
Talk to your doctor or pediatrician about taking supplements of the vitamin.
