Stain Removal Tips

I have never had laundry problems until I had children. If I had a stain, I sprayed it with shout and it came out.
With kids getting a variety of different things on their clothing every day of the week, I was spending more and more time in my laundry room. Here are some tips on stain removal I learned along the way:
Red stains like spaghetti sauce or blueberries: These types of stains must be bleached or use peroxide to be removed.
Pour peroxide on the stain and then put baking soda on the top.
Let it sit for 20-30 minutes, rinse and then repeat.
Pee or poop- You need oxyclean or Nature’s Miracle to get out these stains.
Pour recommended amount of Oxyclean in your washing machine or saturate with Nature’s Miracle let sit and then rinse and wash in warm water.
Spit up- Spit up or formula stains are the worst. If left you find yellow discolorations in your baby’s clothing. You notice this when you take out your older kid’s clothing for your new baby!
You need oxyclean for these bad stains, or Oxiclean baby. Pour recommended amount in wash and use warm setting.
With any stain, see if it came out before you put it in the dryer. The heat from the dryer will set some stains, so if they didn’t come out, repeat the process before you put it in the dryer.
