Personalized Fruit Rollup Contest!
I know Valentine’s Day is a made up holiday but I can’t resist the red and pink home made valentines, the candy hearts and the beautiful flowers. Valentine’s Day was something my mom always made special for us. We would get a shirt or a small toy and would always get some chocolate. She also would something special for us in our lunchbox. The best valentine message I ever received would have to be “Will you marry me?”

Oh that is sweet Winnie, mine was (total mom moment) a painting of my daughter’s hand on a card that said I love you.

Believe it or not, the first time my daughter said “I love you” or “Wuv oo” was on Valentine’s Day. She also said “Daddy” for the first time on my husband’s birthday so she must have a knack for timing

The sweetest Valentine I ever received was when I was with my ex - we were in college and both utterly poor…yet he went out and got me a gallon of milk and a package of M&M’s - it wasn’t a dozen roses, it wasn’t anything huge, but it was the thought and the fact that he nailed exactly what I enjoy.
He should give some tips to my husband, who thinks it’s all about the money, when it’s NOT!

Valentine’s Day 4th grade - we all walked around and put Valentine’s in bags on classmates’ desks. I snuck a Secret Admirer card, that I had been planning for weeks, into Todd’s bag with a message that said I think you’re cute. He never figured out it was me, and I never told him.
The only secret admirer card I ever gave anyone.

My boyfriend at the time (who is now my husband!) sent me a dozen long stemmed red roses with the lyrics of a beautiful old song on the gift card. It said “The very thought of you makes my heart sing.”

My very first Valentine from my little girl!
January 25th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
My three little kiddos and I sent mimi and papa a little heart candy box last year with the candy removed. For the inside we cut out photos of their faces and glued them to the bottom of the candy papers. Three of the papers fit perfectly inside. They then decorated the outside of the box. It turned out very sweet.

The best Valentine’s I’ve ever gotten were from my dad. He’s my ’step-father’ but he raised me since I was a small child and has always been my Daddy. We had a rocky time when I was a teenager because he just didn’t understand me - a bookish girl. He’s very quiet and was never overly affectionate or loose with words. Thats why when I get a simple card with “I Love you Taryn, Dad” written inside it means the world to me. When he says “I love you” his voice changes and I know he really really means it. I have the best daddy in the world.

The absolute sweetest valentine’s message I have EVER received was from my 4 year old son last valentine’s day… he made me a card (first one ever) with a robot on it and then he hand wrote “I love You Mommy” and wrote his own name. Then he told me “don’t worry mommy, this is a love card just for you that I made special”… it made me cry. I really love my kids.

Hubby wrote “I Love You” in the fogged up mirror in the bathroom while I was taking a hot shower. It was unexpected and a sweet surprise.
I blogged this in my post:

Hi, Please enter me in your fabulous contest. I received a Valentine many years ago when I was working with mentally challenged students. One boy had epilepsy and he gave me the cutest card with his name written the best he could. He dies in his late teens from brain surgery. I still have his card…..Cindi

The most thoughtful gift was a rare Arwen trading card. My boyfriend had it framed and it was special to us because that is how me met, playing the trading card game.

While I was taking a shower, hubby wrote “I LOVE YOU” in the fogged up mirror. It was sweet to find that when I got out of the shower.

Has to be my 3yr old son telling me ‘he loves me to the moon and back’
January 28th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
I’ve been trying to think of one but I can’t, but recently my nephew (who is four, almost five) got two pieces of candy (witch he doesn’t get often) from his grandpa but when my sister came in and he very politely gave his second piece of candy to her which I thought was so sweet of him. My sister pop popcorn for him all the time.

My 6th grade crush still has the little note I wrote him:
I like U. I think U no hoo I am.
January 28th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
i love you forever sweetheart.
it’s sounds plain and simple, but it had more meaning. my hubby was on his first tour of duty (iraq) thats why it’s so sweet, because he took time out of missions to send me a card with those words in them

I saw these really cute homemade heart/flower cookies in a magazine and told my husband they were cute. He surprised me by spending a long time making them.

One year my Hubby and I were going through a rough patch and I didn’t think he was going to get me anything, but he surprised me with a Precious Moments figurine (I collect them) with the saying “This Too Shall Pass”
It meant alot to me then and now!
