When I found out I was pregnant, I was so excited but I didn’t want to tell my husband right away. I wanted to tell him in a special way, but I wasn’t sure how.
Maybe if I already had a child I would have put one of those cute “I am a big brother/sister” shirts on him. If I could wait two months I could buy him a “world’s best Dad” shirt or mug.
Nah, those were not options for me.
I have heard of such cute ways women have told their husbands or families they were having a baby like framing the first sonogram, wrapping up the pregnancy test at Christmas time or writing it on a big cookie cake.
I decided to order some custom fortune cookies. I had to wait for them to arrive for three days, and they were the longest of my life. I was pregnant for the first time and I couldn’t share it with anyone. I was bursting inside and could barely eat my Chinese food that I ordered the night the custom cookies came.
I made E take a fortune cookie, although he doesn’t really ever eat the fortune cookies.
He reads the fortune and looked at me stunned.
We were going to be parents.
I thought it was a cute and unique way to tell E, and was worth the three days of having to keep such great news to myself.
How did tyou tell your husband you were expecting?

It was my husband’s birthday so I gave him a birthday card that said his present wouldn’t be here for another 8 months.

I didn’t tell my husband any special way, but we gave his parents a frame that said “Grandparents” on it to tell them!

Too cute! With my hubby, I wrapped up the positive test and a package of multi colored pacifiers. I told him the package was delivered earlier for him. Being a smart alec, my husband’s first question was. “WHO exactly delivered this?”

It was right before Valentine’s Day when I found out we were going to have a second child. I bought a Valentine’s card and signed it from me, our daughter and Baby??? Needless to say, once he got it, he was surprised and very excited!

Unfortunately, my ex found out about our daughter, when I started throwing up several times a day! I had terrible morning sickness! Not a very cute or romantic way for someone to find out, but our happiness overshadowed everything else, anyway!

I’m not very clever. He was there when I peed on the stick. Boring, I know.
